Government not phasing out free medicine scheme:- Rajendra Rathore

                                                            In an attempt to silence Opposition’s claims that the govt was phasing out free medicine and diagnostic test schemes, health minister Rajendra Rathore on Monday said that not only the budget for both the schemes has been increased for coming financial year, but the government has also taken steps to improve the quality of medicines being distributed under the schemes. While speaking at the Vidhan Sabha, Rajendra Rathore said the expenditure on free medicines was Rs 324.34 crore in 2013-14 but it has increased to Rs 417.50 crore by February this year. The number of people who benefited from the free diagnostic scheme was 1.54 crore in 2013-2014 and it has increased to 2.16 crore by February this year.
                                                           “We have formulated a policy to ensure that medicines distributed to patients are of good quality. For this, we have introduced e-tendering. We have developed a system under which we procure medicine that are certified as WHO Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Also, we have developed a system to test the medicines we procure through proper process.

                                                               Liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s defunct Kingfisher Airlines owes the Airport Authority of India (AAI) Rs 294.57 crores as unpaid dues, the government told Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. Civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju, during the question hour, said that while one recovery suit had been filed against Kingfisher in the Bombay high court in 2014, two other cases pertained to cheque-bouncing.
                                                             Private airlines owe Rs 710.14 crore to the Airport Authority of India, said the minister, adding that other carriers included Indigo (Rs 71.81 crore), Jet Airways (Rs 41.16 crore) and Spice jet (63.28 crore). With MPs demanding more information on Kingfisher, Raju said legal processes had been initiated since “this should not have ever happened but we cannot set the clock back”, adding that the present government would try not to make the “mistakes of the previous government”.
                                                            Congress member Vijay laxmi Sabho, however, said that rather than blaming the previous UPA government, the NDA regime should make it clear what it was doing to get the dues back.

I don’t know why exes do silly things to get your attention. For me, that chapter is over and I don’t dig graves.”

                                                               Including closer towards gathering more concrete evidence against Vijay Mallya, the CBI on Tuesday interrogated former chief financial officers of the UB Group, Ravi Nedungadi and A Raghunathan, in connection with the alleged load fraud and diversion of siphoned money. 

                                                                The duo was interrogated separately by a CBI team in Mumbai and their versions and answers are being analysed. Sources also informed that the CBI was in the process of getting letters rogatory issued to the UK, Mauritius, Cayman Island and France amongst others to get details and “documented evidences” about the properties owned/used and financial transactions carried out by Mallya and his associates.
                                                                 Regarding the interrogation, source said the agency’s focus was to understand in detail the role of these two CFOs and their alleged collusion with Vijay Mallya in getting the banks to disburse money. They were given a questionnaire prepared by the CBI team.                                                                    In the main, they were asked to open up on the information they had about some political functionaries who Vijay Mallya had been in touch with around the time the loans were being disbursed, sources daimed.

Reportedly, Malaika has made up her mind about filing for divorce and She’s not listening to anyone, not even her brother in low Salman Khan , whose repeated attempts to patch things up between the troubled couple have come to a naught.
Malaika and Arbaaz first raised eyebrows when they signed up as hosts for the reality show Power couple, but filmed together for barely three episodes. When they eventually agreed to appear together after much cajoling, they’d arrive in separate cars,, use individual green rooms and leave separately. Source from the sets were quoted as saying that malaika had walked out of their Bandra home in Mumbai with 14 years old son Arhaan three months ago and rented an apartment in Khar.                                                             Salman Khan appeared before Jodhpur court on Thursday to record his statement in the 1998 Arms Act Case. The actor’s lawyer told the media assembled outside the court that Salman pleaded innocence in the court and said that he was fasely implicated. The next date of the hearing is on April 4. A case was registered against Salman for allegedly hunting down two black bucks in October, 1998. The forest department had filed a separate case under the Arms Act starting that the licences of the arms used by the actor had expired.
                                                           According to sources, Salman, accompanied by his sister Alvira and bodyguard Shera, from Mumbai early in the morning to reach Jodhpur court in time. From the airport, he went to a hotel and then reached the court at around 11am.

                                                    Piku and Talwar have been special to me and I am happy that I have been nominated. I am pleased to be a part of them as they are important for me, the film industry and the audience. These are path-breaking movies. When Piku released, several directors said they wouldn’t have attempted it as it doesn’t have a story, per se. It broke many conventions. Talwar, too, had various technicalities and was a dialogue-oriented film. There was a doubt, if the audience was ready to receive it or not. But both the movies show how our viewers have evolved over the years.

                                                                A day after chief minister Vasundhara Raje an announced more seats for MBBS in existing medical college in her budget speech, the health experts termed it a welcome step but they also emphasized that along with increasing seats, there is also a need for developing proper infrastructure in medical colleges.
                                                              Aiming to give a boost to medical education, Raje had announced that government is planning to pump in Rs420 crore to churn out more MBBS doctors. In 2016-17, the government will be add 350 more MBBS seats to the existing 1,400 seats. Raje had expressed the need of increasing seats for MBBS courses. She said that 350 seats will be added to existing number of seats for MBBS courses. According to her budget proposal, 100 each seats will come up in government medical college in Ajmer, Udaipur and Kota while 50 seats will be creating in Jalawar medical college.
